This coach is believed to be a Ford 570E (It was definitely a Ford, but 30 plus years later no-one remembers the model!) with attractive and now virtually extinct Burlingham "Seagull 70" bodywork. The coach was purchased in the mid 1970s by a friend of Elderson Coaches' Charles Kenward and Charlie was frequently involved with the coach, both working on and driving it. It was used by a group of friends, primarily from the Bromsgrove area, for holidays and away days for several years, including a trip to Cornwall, where these photographs were taken.

The original owner of the coach was Elcock Reisen based in Dawley, Shrophsire, hence the distinctive red-based livery which Elcocks retained for many years, it was then sold on for use as a school bus to Rowley Regis Grammar School, before coming to Bromsgrove. The coach was sold in the late 1970s to another private owner who converted it for use as a race tranpsorter.
Sadly, like so many of its contemporaries it is long since believed to have been scrapped...
